MINISTERS
AND PASTORS MANNA
7 WAYS YOU CAN RELATE TO YOUR PASTOR
1. Receive him as a gift
from God – Ephesians
4:7-8,11-12; Matthew 16:13-end. Jesus gave him
to you as a gift. James 1:17 says, ‘Every
good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and cometh down from the Father of lights, with
whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
2. Know your Pastor and his
wife – study
his lifestyle as a Christian leader and follow
his faith. [What he’s been able to achieve
with his faith] – 1 Thessalonians 5:12; 2
Timothy 3:10
3. Esteem him very highly
in love and be at peace among yourselves. – 1 Thessalonians 5:13
4. Pray for him daily both
in the spirit and intelligently using God’s word that he will behold wondrous
things from God’s word, [Ps. 119:18] that
he will be delivered from them that do not believe
and that signs and wonders will be wrought through
him as he ministers God’s word and that the
word will have free course and great impact. – 2
Thessalonians 3:1; 1 Thessalonians 3:2; Acts 12:1-17
[Peter delivered from prison] [For additional insight
and information on prayer, order a copy of my book:
Why You should Pray And How You should Pray For
Your Pastor and Your Church Daily from our bookshop
or website: www.houseofjudah.org.uk]
5. Communicate to him personally – give
to support him on your own accord and corporately
as a church. Arrange occasional surprises for him;
you endear yourself to God and to him that way
because a man’s gift makes room for him and
brings him before great men. Fully partner with
and support his ministry without reservation. – Galatians
6:6; 3:7; Hebrews 7:5; Philippians 4:14-17; Luke
8:1-3
6. Imitate him as he imitates
Christ – be
faithful to follow him. – 1 Corinthians 11:1;
Hebrews 6:12; Philippians 4:9; 2 Kings 2:1-15
7. Obey his teachings – Acts 20:28-32; 1
Corinthians 11:1-2. A Pastor’s number one
ministry is the word and prayer, not running around. – Acts
6:1-6. As you serve Jesus, serve your Pastor well
and Ephesians 6:1-3 shall be your portion.
If the church will allow the Pastors to stay in
the word and prayer, they will behold wondrous
things and the members will increase, multiply
in number and be blessed. Acts 6:7, ‘And
the word of God increased; and the number of the
disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and
a great company of the priests were obedient to
the faith.’
WHERE THE ELEPHANT EATS IS WHERE IT GATHERS ITS
STRENGTH.
THE REASON ELEPHANTS DON’T STRUGGLE TO GROW
BIG IS BECAUSE THEY CARRY THE GENES [DNA] OF BIGNESS.
WHAT YOU EAT, WHERE YOU EAT & FROM WHOM YOU
EAT [YOUR PASTOR/MINISTER/MENTOR/FATHER/TEACHERS]
DETERMINES YOUR GROWTH, BIGNESS, IMPACT AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
I ACKNOWLEDGE MY DIVERSITIES OF SOUND ROOTS /
MENTORS / TEACHERS / MY FATHER IN THE LORD FROM
WHOM I EAT WHICH HAS EMPOWERED ME OVER THE YEARS
TO BE ABLE TO PRACTICE, CONTINUE TO SEE THE REQUIRED
RESULTS AND THEREFORE COMPILE THESE NOTES FROM
WHAT I HAVE HEARD, LEARNT FROM THEM, SEEN, TASTED
AND HANDLED TO BE ABLE TO SHARE IT FOR THE BENEFIT
OF OTHERS.
SINCE THE ESSENCE OF LEADERSHIP IS NOT TO CREATE
MORE FOLLOWERS BUT LEADERS AND LEADERS OF LEADERS,
I TRUST THAT AS YOU EAT, DIGEST, MEDITATE AND ACT
ON THESE SECRETS, YOU WILL SEE MORE LASTING, SUSTAINABLE
RESULTS AND MORE SONS AS WE COLLECTIVELY PURPOSE
TO DEPOPULATE HELL AND POPULATE HEAVEN AND RAISE
SONS WHO WILL DO MORE EXPLOITS. TAKE OVER INSTEAD
OF TAKING COVER FROM THE ENEMY’S ONSLAUGHTS.
‘IF I HAVE SEEN FURTHER IT HAS BEEN BY STANDING
ON THE SHOULDERS OF THOSE WHO HAVE GONE AHEAD OF
ME.’ - ISAAC NEWTON
CHURCH GROWTH IS A DOWNLOADED ANSWER. SO, FOLLOW
THOSE WHO THROUGH FAITH AND PATIENCE HAVE OBTAINED
THE PROMISES.
THERE IS NO NEW THING UNDER THE SUN......... ‘The
thing that hath been, it is that which shall be;
and that which is done is that which shall be done:
and there is no new thing under the sun.’ (Ecclesiastes
1:9)
NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE, YOU HAVE THE NATURE AND
CAPACITY FOR LEADERSHIP. YOUR MINISTRY WILL GROW
AND CONTINUE TO GROW!
We would like to start the teaching this month
by examining: THE PASTORAL MINISTRY
Jeremiah 3:15, ‘And I will give you pastors
according to mine heart, which shall feed you with
knowledge and understanding.’
Ephesians 4:11, ‘And he gave some, apostles;
and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and
some, pastors and teachers;’
WHO IS A PASTOR? A Pastor is a shepherd with responsibilities
to feed, guide, lead, teach, direct, guard, protect,
care for and invest in the flock under his care.
He has a duty to feed them the unadulterated Word
of God bringing balance and fulfilment to both
their lives and families. He is to empower them
to release their potential and maximize their destinies.
GOOD SHEPHERDS GIVE THEIR LIFE FOR THE SHEEP
John 10:11, ‘I am the good shepherd: the
good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.’
GOOD SHEPHERDS KNOW THEIR SHEEP AND ARE KNOWN
OF THEM
John 10:14, ‘I am the good shepherd, and
know my sheep, and am known of mine.’
GOOD SHEPHERDS KNOW THEY ARE SENT TO THE PEOPLE
NOT BY THEM AND SEEK THEIR WELFARE NOT TAKE THEIR
STUFF (I seek not yours but you..2 Corinthians
12:14).
GOOD SHEPHERDS ENSURE THE SHEEP ARE NOT SCATTERED
AND LOOK FOR THEM
Ezekiel 34:6, ‘My sheep wandered through
all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea,
my flock was scattered upon all the face of the
earth, and none did search or seek after them.’
Ezekiel 34:11-12, ‘For thus saith the Lord
GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep,
and seek them out. As a shepherd seeketh out his
flock in the day that he is among his sheep that
are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and
will deliver them out of all places where they
have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.’
Luke 15:6, ‘And when he cometh home, he
calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying
unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my
sheep which was lost.’
GOOD SHEEP HEAR THEIR SHEPHERD’S VOICE AND
FOLLOW HIM
John 10:27, ‘My sheep hear my voice, and
I know them, and they follow me:’
GOOD SHEPHERDS FEED BOTH THE LAMBS AND THE SHEEP
John 21:1-17, ‘(John 21:15 KJV) So when
they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon,
son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He
saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I
love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He
saith to him again the second time, Simon, son
of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea,
Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto
him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third
time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter
was grieved because he said unto him the third
time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord,
thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love
thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.’
Next month we would examine HOW TO GET THE BEST
OUT OF YOUR PASTOR.
